The Visual Secret Sharing Scheme Based on the Rgb Color System

The visual secret sharing (VSS) scheme is a method to maintain the confidentiality of a se-cret image by sharing it to some number participants. A (k, n) VSS divides the secret images into n parts, that are called shadows ; to recover the secret back, k shadows should be stacked. Some methods have been developed to implement VSS for color images. However, the methods are only suitable for images with limited number of colors. When more colors are used, the resulted stacked shadow image becomes unclear. Besides that, the size of the shadows becomes bigger as more colors are used. We develop a new method implementing the VSS using the RGB color system. Using our method, the problem related to the unclear stacked shadow image can be overcome

Although Indonesia has over ten years into the era of legal reform have not favor the interests of the community. Law is still loaded with the interests of certain parties like the ruling. This is evident from the product law for national and local regulations for local scale. Reform of the law enforcement officials running slow when compared with the substance of the reform law. This leads to the law can not act as a counterweight to the interests of society in order to realize justice and truth

In this paper, half-sweep iteration concept applied on quadrature-difference schemes with Gauss-Seidel (GS) iterative method in solving linear Fredholm integro-differential equations. The combinations of discretization schemes of repeated trapezoidal and Simpson's 1/3 with central difference schemes are analyzed. The formulation and the implementation of the proposed methods are explained in detail. In addition, several numerical experiments and computational complexity analysis were also carried out to validate the presentation of the schemes and methods. The findings show that, the HSGS iteration method is superior to the standard GS method. As well the high order quadrature scheme produced more accurate approximation solution compared to combination of repeated trapezoidal-central difference schemes

Torque Studies of 6 Slot-7 Pole Motor for Hybrid Motor

Hybrid excitation machines (HEMs) that consist of permanent magnet (PM) and field excitation coil (FEC) as their main flux sources has several attractive features compared to interior permanent magnet synchronous machines (IPMSM) conventionally employed in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). Hybrid excitation flux switching machines (HEFSM) is one type of HEMs. This is to decrease the PM size in a HEFSM so that the cost of the machine can be reduced. By reducing the size of PM, the torque and the power of the machine will be slightly different from the original PM size. The torque is almost the same as the original sized PM but the size is successfully reduced

Studies have shown that visual learning is dependent on visual literacy since visually literate learners will not merely look at visuals but see meanings. However, it appears very little has been investigated on this report in Nigerian context. Thus this study examined the effect of visual learning in Biology with the hope of highlighting the effect of visual literacy on performance and pointing out the implications for teaching and counselling. The design was a comparison group pre-test post-test design and 240 students were randomly selected from four secondary schools in Lagos State. The reliability and validity of the instrument; Visual Literacy Scale (VLS) was 0.80 and 0.89. Pre-test results of both groups, revealed no significant difference t (238) = .14, p = .88 > 0.05 in visual literacy level of respondents as majority, 87% demonstrated low level of visual literacy in Biology. No significant difference was also found for sex, t (238) = .749, p = .454 > 0.05 but visual literacy was found to have significant effect on academic performance, t (238) = 21.16, p = .000 < 0.05. These findings suggest the need for teachers to be more inclined to not just teaching biology but teaching visual literacy skills and counsellors to rise up to the challenge of providing preventive and proactive intervention

Yoghurt analogue was produced by fermenting soy milk with different selected fermented cereal based filtrates. The water filtrate was obtained from fermented 100% Zea mays (yellow variety) 100% Quality Protein Maize (yellow variety), 100% Sorghum (red variety) and 100% Millet (light cream variety). The pH, titratable acidity (TTA), microbial load, microbial type, proximate composition and mineral content of the yoghurt samples were determined. The samples were also subjected to sensory evaluation. The pH ranged from 4.68 in soy milk fermented with millet to 5.20 in soymilk fermented with quality protein maize. Total viable count was highest in soymilk fermented with sorghum filtrate (9.08 log cfu/ml) while Lactic acid bacteria count was highest in soymilk fermented with millet filtrate (7.50 log cfu/ml). Lactobacillus plantarum, L. fermentatum and Saccharomyces cerevisiae were found to occur in all the four yoghurt samples. There was no significant difference (p > 0.05) in the moisture content of all the yoghurt samples. Soymilk fermented with sorghum filterate contained the highest crude protein (3.57%) while the highest fat content was recorded in soymilk fermented with yellow maize filtrate (2.97%). Highest calcium and magnesium content was found in soymilk fermented with millet filterate. Commercial yoghurt was the most preferred in all the sensory attributes tested followed by soy milk fermented with millet filterate. All the yoghurt samples were accepted organoleptically. Soymilk and fermented cereal filterate could serve as good alternative to the expensive soymilk and commercial starter for production of good quality yoghurt analogue. Filtrate from sorghum appear to be the best starter for soy yoghurt production in terms of nutrients content while filterate from millet was most accepted by sensory panelists. Keywords: Yoghurt, soymilk, maize, millet, sorghum, filtrate

Environmental Quality Perception (EQP) is constructed to help in environmental studies and as an assessment tool for the environment and behaviour field studies. Using EQP assessment method in the hospital environment studies helps to understand the relationship between people and the hospital environment. Achieving sufficient thermal comfort level in existing government hospital buildings were seriously considered especially in general wards where patients and staffs most spend time in. The assessments were completed by 120 respondents (i.e. patients and staff nurse) from five different general wards located in different blocks in a Malaysian public hospital. To assess perception validity, one is focusing on objective physical observation evaluating the hospital environment correlated with subjective evaluation through questionnaire on social environment. The main objective of this research is to investigate the usersā€™ perceptions of existing thermal comfort quality in the different departmentā€™s general wards of existing government hospitals in providing comparative table showing the different performance of thermal comfort. Overall reliability on thermal satisfaction by the occupants shows significant differences in all identified variables that were influenced by location and characteristic of the buildings as well as the respondents demographic. Mixed method analyses were used whereby data responds were analysed by multivariate (MANOVA) and univariate (ANOVA) analyses of variance for quantitative and triangulation analyses were tabled down for qualitative between average responses of thermal comfort perceived with the hospital physical. The findings concluded with majority perceived moderation on most thermal comfort elements indicates that there were growing acceptance and tolerance with the space that are subjected to duration of admitted and hours of working. Therefore, further investigation should be carried out to enhance the probability in perceptions with multiple hospitals for clear comparisons

Social media including Facebook has been acknowledged to play a vital role in firms achieving superior performance. Malaysia is a multicultural country in which the Malaysian Chinese are considered to be the most successful entrepreneurs. There is, however, a lack of research regarding the influence of Facebook usage on firm performance among Malaysian Chinese retailers. As such, this study had two aims. Firstly, the study investigated the influence of compatibility, cost effectiveness, trust, and interactivity on Facebook usage among Malaysian Chinese retailers. Secondly, the study assessed the impact of these retailersā€™ Facebook usage on their perceived financial performance, perceived non-financial performance, perceived business growth, and perceived performance relative to competitors under the moderating impact of market turbulence. This study developed a conceptual model based on the Strategic Contingency Theory (SCT) and Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theory, and used a structured survey instrument to gather data. Using non-probability sampling techniques, 129 Malaysian Chinese retailers from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor were recruited for the study. Data was analysed using PLS-SEM techniques. The results showed that only compatibility, cost effectiveness, and interactivity have a statistically significant positive influence on Facebook usage, which in turn has a statistically significant positive influence on the retailersā€™ perceived financial performance, perceived non-financial performance, perceived business growth, and perceived performance relative to competitors. Moreover, market turbulence was only found to be a moderator that improves the impact of Facebook usage on perceived financial performance, perceived business growth, and perceived performance relative to competitors, but not perceived non-financial performance. These findings contribute to current literature and provide insights into the role and importance of Facebook usage on firm performance among Malaysian Chinese retailers, possibly encouraging more retailers to deploy social media in their business processe
